This is a fully enclosed panel mount cover for 50A connectors with an included dust cap. Mounting covers the wires & connector.
This version includes a dust cap.
My van came with a cigarette lighter socket for the solar connection. This wasn't adequate for my purpose & I couldn't find a neat mounting for a 50A connector. This cover will replace the panel mount cigarette lighter used on some vans. Also great for mounting a 50A connector to a flat surface without the wires showing.
Our mount has the following features:
The lower plate keeps the plug away from the surface it's mounted to & reduces the chances of scratching when the plug is removed.
The mount covers the wires & their exit hole from the panel.
The lower plate can also be used as a drilling template
The dust cap is retained using a wire loop that is held between the lower plate & the top of the cover.
Dust cap retaining wire can be mounted on left or right side of cover.
Supplied with stainless steel hardware for plug retention & mounting.
