When it comes to our 3DPrintRV products, or our 3DPrintCQ custom printing and training, here are the most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that isn’t covered, please contact us.

What materials do you use?

We primarily use ABS.

We've found ABS to be easy to print, produces a nice finish & is very tough.

We can also print in PLA, PETG, Polycarbonate & Nylon, depending on the material properties required for the item being printed.

Can you make custom colours?

Unfortunately, no.

We have over 16 colours & these are listed for products that have a choice of colours.

Can you print my own design or something I've downloaded?

We sure can!

Email us the design as an .STL file or send a link to the item you'd like printed. We'll check it out & give you a quoted price.

All files sent to 3DprintCQ are considered your property & will be shredded once the job is complete.

Please, no firearms or other weapons.

Can you custom design something for me?

We sure can! We need a lot of information, so please use the form on our custom designs page.

Do you ship internationally?

We are shipping to selected countries. If your country isn't on our list, contact us & we'll see what we can do.

Whats the largest thing you can print?

We can print up to 295mm wide x 295mm long x 285mm high. Printing items in ABS of this size can be tricky though, as ABS tends to warp when printed, so finished item may have some small splits.

Alternatively, there are other materials that can be used that are less prone to splitting between layers.

What is "Thingiverse"?

Thingiverse is a website where makers can post their designs to share with others. It's a great place to find really cool things to print.

What are "Magnet Mounts"?

Magnet mounts were designed to replace the small magnets that are supplied with aftermarket cruise controls. The magnet is mounted to the tailshaft to tell the computer what speed the vehicle is travelling at.

What are Fridge Fans?

Fridge Fans are fans that are mounted behind the top vent of your caravan fridge. They improve the efficiency of your fridge, meaning the fridge gets colder & stays colder. They do this by creating airflow over the fridge condenser fins, enabling them to dissipate heat efficiently & making your caravan fridge operate much better, particularly in hot weather.

Why would I need a fridge fan?

In a lot of cases, the fridge manufacturer’s installation instructions are not able to be followed accurately due to space, cost & time considerations. This leads to reduced fridge performance, which is more noticeable in hot weather. A Fridge Fan Kit overcomes any installation deficiencies by enhancing the natural airflow & assisting to remove heat from the back of the fridge.

Are fridge fan kits difficult to install?

Not at all! The 3D printed plates we supply in our kits simplify installation & remove all the guess work. ALL components required to fit our caravan fridge fans are included in the kit. We also supply detailed printed instructions & our phone number is on the instructions if you have any questions. The fans can be fitted & wired in as little as 15 minutes.

Our personalised tags are made from ABS+ which is a more flexible variety of ABS plastic. The tags are also printed with a high infill ratio for added strength. They’ll break, the same as any other tag, but a lot of effort is required to break them.

What makes 3DprintRV's “Enclosed Mount Compatable with Anderson Plugs” better than others?

Our Mounts for Anderson Plugs are made from ABS+ plastic which means they’re not brittle. They also have a lower plate that helps prevent scratching when the plug is fitted or removed. This lower plate also enables the dust plug retaining wire to be captured between the two parts of the mount.

The Anderson plug is held tightly by the mount, but we’ve also added a stainless steel retaining bolt to ensure that all brands of Anderson style plugs are held tight.

Our mounts are also available in a wide range of colours.

How long is your 3d printing training course?

The course runs for approximately 6 hours. Actual length can vary a little, depending on the number of participants & questions.

Can you run a 3D printing course in my town?

Sure! We’re happy to travel. Contact us here & we can discuss further.
