Both the remote & the display are battery operated.
The display (receiver) displays both fridge temperature (from the remote) & the ambient temperature.
PLEASE NOTE: These are an outdoor thermometer that lends itself well for use in a refrigerator.
HOWEVER, the remote sensor temperature is labelled as “OUT”, while the inbuilt temperature sensor in the base station is labelled as “IN”.
