Important Notes

Installing these fans is straightforward, but they do require a power supply to operate. Here’s what you need to know:

• The included 4-meter, 3mm-diameter wire is slim enough to fit through even the smallest fridge drain holes.

• For optimal performance, we recommend connecting the fan system to your fridge’s power supply, which should already be linked to your van’s battery management system.

• If your fridge’s power supply isn’t accessible, the fans can also be connected directly to your van’s battery management system.

• If you’re unsure about wiring installation, it’s best to consult a qualified auto electrician or a caravan repair specialist for assistance.

Is the Klevacool Twin Internal Fan designed for compressor fridges over 100 litres?

Yes. The Klevacool Twin Internal Compressor Fridge Fan is designed for larger compressor fridges over 100 litres, where there's more internal space to circulate air through.

For compressor fridges under 100 litres, have a look at our Compact Single or Adjustable internal fans.

Why does this kit use two internal fans instead of one?

Larger fridges have a bigger internal volume. We found one fan wasn't quite enough to circulate the air effectively through the bigger fridge cabinet, so this kit uses two fans.

Will these internal fans help reduce frost inside my compressor fridge?

Yes. Keeping air moving across the cold surfaces inside the fridge reduces frost build-up and stops heavy frost from insulating the cold plate or evaporator.

How much difference they make depends on humidity, fridge temperature, door seals, how often the door is opened and how the fridge is loaded.

Will the fans help even out temperatures between the top and bottom of my fridge?

Yes. One of the main reasons for fitting internal fridge fans is to keep the air moving, rather than letting colder air settle in one part of the cabinet while warmer areas develop elsewhere.

The twin-fan setup is particularly useful in larger compressor fridges, where there's more internal volume to circulate.

Do I need to choose a left-hand or right-hand mounting version?

Yes. The fan assembly comes in left-hand and right-hand versions, so check where you have suitable mounting space inside your fridge before ordering.

The best choice depends on the internal layout of your particular fridge.

How much space do I need inside my fridge to fit the twin fan system?

The twin fan assembly measures approximately 205mm x 103mm x 46mm.

Check the dimensional drawing and measure the available space inside your fridge before ordering. Fridge interiors vary considerably between brands and models, so measuring first is the safest way to make sure the fan assembly fits without interfering with shelves, food or the door.

Will the Twin Internal Fan fit a chest fridge?

No. It's designed for upright compressor fridges and isn't compatible with chest fridges.

Do I need to drill holes in my fridge to install the fans?

No. The fan assembly is fitted using removable double-sided mounting strips, so there's no need to drill into the fridge cabinet.

That also means the system can be removed later without permanently modifying the fridge.

Does the Twin Internal Fan run all the time?

It can, but it doesn't have to. The system can be used in continuous mode or thermostat-controlled mode.

It can also be wired so the fans run with the compressor, depending on how you want the system to operate and how your fridge is wired.

How much power does the Twin Internal Fan use?

It draws about 0.16A with both fans running, which works out to a maximum of 3.8Ah a day if they ran continuously. When the thermostat has the fans switched off, the system draws about 40mA.
